In business, a leap of faith can change everything. For Allied Security, our journey to becoming a global security provider began with one bold decision made by Fonterra two decades ago.

Rewinding back to Invercargill, 2003. Allied Security was a tight knit team, laser focused on doing right by our clients. Fonterra took a chance on a small, local New Zealand business awarding a 12 week contract to provide security services to their Edendale site. What seemed like a short term engagement became the foundation of something much larger.

After our strong performance during the initial 12 week trial, we were invited to tender for Fonterra’s nationwide contract and successfully secured a one year agreement. That 12 month opportunity allowed us to prove our value, and 22 years later - we are still proud to be their trusted partner!

That short term trial? It became the foundation for something much larger, we now provide security coverage for all Fonterra’s 20 sites across the country and a blueprint for how we operate globally.

Fonterra’s faith in our ability to deliver set us on a path to success, enabling Allied Security to expand beyond New Zealand’s borders and become a trusted security provider across Australia and Canada.

Today, Allied is proud to operate on a global scale, but we never forget where it all began - with Fonterra’s decision to take a punt on us.

One of the most inspiring parts of this story lies in the people. Our current General Manager, Chris who was there from the very beginning, working as a security guard during that first contract with Fonterra. Fast forward to today, Chris now oversees all security operations for Fonterra.

20 years isn’t all smooth sailing. From global pandemics to upheavals, we've faced moments that put us to the test. But what stands out the most - the late night calls answered, the protocols rewritten in an instant and the ongoing commitment to keeping Fonterra’s people and operations safe.
